Starring: Sean Penn, Michelle Pfieffer, Dakota Fanning
Rewatchability Index: 4/5
Sean Penn plays the role of an autistic father trying desperately to hold on to custody of his child (Dakota), not against her mother but against the system. A system that decides what kind of parent is right for the child.
Michelle plays the lawyer who takes on his case. “I’m afraid that I have got more out of this relationship that you have”, she tells Sam Dawson (Sean).
The OST, all covers of Beatles numbers, is fantastic and for an Beatles fan is nostalgic.
But there is something missing in the movie. Although Sean, Michelle and Dakota are each brilliant in their roles.
