Behind Enemy Lines

Starring: Gene Hackman, Owen Wilson

Rating: 4/5

Rewatchability Index: 2/5

A maverick navy pilot shot down behind enemy lines, a line he shouldn’t have crossed in the first place, an admiral who has his hands tied by politicians, the CIA, the bad-guy Serbian leader, a Serbian hunter. Put them together, throw in some fantastic camera work, a nice tight script, turn out your sense of reality, and what you get is a fabulously watchable action flick.

Don’t bother about how much of it is workable. Dont worry about the director’s attempts at making a point about whether most of the wars America is currently involved in have any meaning. Watch this one for Wilson, Hackman, the camera work, and the action. Its fun and total timepass.
